Happy National Engineers Week! Today were featuring our newest team member, Patrick Beazley, who comes all the way from Australia! Hear about his journey and interests into sports engineering!
A spark of curiosity when watching a cricket match about how the pitch was prepared, led me to applying the next day to join the curating team. I was studying Civil Engineering at The University of Queensland in Brisbane Australia at the time and started to see the potential to pursue a professional career in sports and engineering. It certainly wasn’t the most well paved career path for a Civil Engineer, so I’ve let my passion and curiosity drive my career interests and opportunities. I joined an engineering consultancy in Melbourne, that specialized in the design and construction of sports fields, where I worked for almost 6 years. In late 2022, I made the career changing decision to test myself on an international scale -joining the team at Lloyd Sports + Engineering. My career has seen me work with grass roots sports clubs, schools, communities, professional teams and stadiums across Australia, New Zealand and The United States. My engineering journey is led by curiosity and passion for sports field engineering. Utilizing my civil engineering trade to benefit communities and create spaces used for active lifestyles and play is extremely rewarding. #lloyd #lloydsports #sports #sportsengineering #sportsengineer #lloydengineers #lloydsportsandengineering #cricket #australia #melbourne #designandconstruction #international #sportsfields Comments are closed.
