Mountain View and Los Altos High Schools are nearing completion of construction and will soon be ready for installation of synthetic turf for their new multipurpose fields and landscaping. The projects are being constructed simultaneously and both are scheduled to be complete before the new year. Last evening, the City of Long Beach Planning Commission approved the modernization of St. Anthony's Athletic Complex on Clark Avenue. Lloyd Sports + Engineering would like to extend a huge congratulations to the entire St. Anthony's community, including their alumni, leadership, staff, and most importantly, to current and future students. The project includes extensive improvements to the sports elements and significant upgrades to the public elements along Clark Avenue such as the plan to under-ground overhead power lines and to install new landscape plantings.
Lloyd, along with their partners at TVS Design, Slater Builders, and AMA Engineering, look forward to modernizing this sports complex that has been in continuous use for over 75 years. We are excited to provide improvements for the future generations of St. Anthony's students and the Long Beach Community. The Santa Rosa Junior College Athletic facilities are getting a major upgrade and it's nearly time for the athletes to move back into their newly renovated home. The new baseball and softball fields are outfitted with the Diamond Series Baseball Turf by Astroturf, while the new soccer field is a high performance natural grass field. Lloyd Sports + Engineering is proud to have such a good partnership with our design and construction team members that have made this project such a success; ELS Architecture and Urban Design, SWA Group CSW, AstroTurf, and Valley Precision Grading. SEPTEMBER 2021 OCTOBER 2021 McClintock High School, in the Tempe Union School District, recently completed the conversion of their field from natural grass to synthetic turf. The field is striped for both football and soccer and features a vibrant school logo front and center. On September 3, fans gathered to watch the McClintock Charges take on the Saguaro Sabercats in the first varsity football game of the season on the synthetic field.
