The project was led by HNTB Architects, and Lloyd provided design services for the stadium football field, field drainage, LEED submittals, and construction documentation. The natural grass turf began construction in 2012 and opened for the 2014 NFL season. The Lloyd team led the design efforts for the innovative retractable natural grass field system for the stadium. Partnered with NY Architect, Peter Eisenman and HOK-SVE Architects, the stadium has been host to many football games, bowl games, concerts and events, and more. The stadium will once again host the upcoming 2023 Super Bowl.
