Balancing Budget, Schedule, and Quality - Dickinson State University; Dickinson, North Dakota1/16/2023
For Lloyd, we always aim to provide the greatest value and strive for the highest-quality field and facility that meets both client and end user expectations. At Dickinson State University in North Dakota, the Lloyd team designed the campus’ new softball facility, which is nearing completion and is gaining interest and popularity in the region. With tournaments for next spring already filling up the facility’s calendar, the new fields and associated amenities will be a valuable asset for the school and student athletes. The design team took the challenge of going beyond standard facility design norms and expectations to provide this state-of-the-art facility while still meeting the school’s budget and schedule. The University of Nevada – Reno began a complete overhaul to Hixson Softball Complex with the conversion of their softball field to synthetic turf. This field renovation success is a direct result of the collaborative partnership between Lloyd, JK Architecture Engineering, and University of Nevada – Reno. The project comes as the first phase of the renovation, with a new fieldhouse, press box, bleachers, and concessions planned in the near future. |
