Great progress by our partners at Timberlake Construction, United Turf & Track, Studio Architecture, the City of Oklahoma City and of course, USA Softball, as the rebuild of the playing field begins to take shape. Lloyd Sports + Engineering is proud to be the engineer for the project that supports so many talented athletes year-round. We can't wait to see this year's field of 8 take the diamond for the NCAA Women's College World Series in May, and our own USA Olympic Softball team as they prepare to battle the world in Tokyo later this summer. For the past couple of years, Lloyd Sports and Engineering have been partnered with Marc Taylor Inc. as the Program and Construction Managers for the Gilbert Regional Park Project located in the Town of Gilbert. The Team completed Phase 1 in 2019 and is currently managing Phase 1B. Phase 1B includes the construction of the north parking lot that will tie the two Phases together, 3.5-acre lake that will be stocked with fish, 3-acre great lawn used for concerts and special events, and a corporate ramada that can be rented for all occasions. The construction is being completed by Haydon Building Corp. who is the General Contractor along with several subcontractors that include Earthscapes, Echo Canyon, Jayco, and Ancon. Lloyd is committed to completing Phase 1B on time and within the original approved budget. We are excited to provide the Town of Gilbert Residence a facility that can be enjoyed and sustained for years to come.
Today's NFL games in Baltimore, Maryland, and Santa Clara, California will feature playing field systems designed and engineered by Lloyd Sports + Engineering. Of course, the country will have their eyes glued on the incredible athletes, while the Lloyd team's focus might be closer to their feet from time to time. We are proud to have played a role in engineering the stage for these high energy spectacles. Our congratulations to both football organizations and to head Sports Turf Managers Don Follet, of the Ravens, and Matt Greiner, of the 49ers, along with every member of their crew for such an amazing job.
