The Lloyd team is honored to receive the Arizona Public Works Association (APWA) 2020 Project of the Year Award. The success of the Town of Gilbert Regional Park is the result of many people's hard work and commitment during a very challenging year.
The Lloyd Team is excited to announce that Gilbert Regional Lake Park opened on October 14th. The Town of Gilbert was granted a non-exclusive recreational use easement from the Flood Control District of Maricopa County, for approximately 225 acres of land to create a Sports & Recreational Park and Multi-Purpose Lake Park. Lloyd provided Program Management, Construction Management and served as Gilbert's onsite Engineer of Record for construction, inspection and code compliance during the last two years of development. The Sports and Recreational Park development, completed September 2019, was 30 acres including the main access road, underground utilities, iconic playground facility, splash pad, a restroom building, temporary irrigation pond and pickle ball courts. The Multi-Purpose Lake Park includes the development of a 7 acre lake, 10 acre great lawn, corporate ramada, large amphitheater and over half a mile of pedestrian trail around the lake and great lawn. Sixteen pickle ball courts, 6 tennis courts, 2 basketball courts and 6 volleyball courts were also built inside the park. The lake is fully stocked for fishing and stores water for irrigation of the great lawn and surrounding landscape. The great lawn is designed for open air concerts and large gatherings.
