Lloyd Sports + Engineering is excited to be the engineer of record for the largest privately funded sports park in the United States, Legacy Sports Park in Mesa, Arizona. Lloyd, in conjunction with Orcutt-Winslow Architecture, is leading the site design along with our partners from Trueform Landscape Architects, Hilgart Wilson, Kimley Horn and Wright Engineering. Lloyd Sports + Engineering is responsible for on-site civil engineering, off-site civil engineering, and design for all the fields, courts and features of the sprawling 320-acre complex. Outdoor amenities include 23 soccer fields, 16 sand volleyball courts, 40 pickle ball courts, 8 baseball and softball fields and a 50-acre multipurpose space for concerts, festivals and other events. Indoor amenities include an indoor multipurpose sports complex with 62 volleyball courts, 16 NBA-sized basketball courts, an esports arena, a fitness center and more. Located immediately adjacent to Mesa Gateway Airport and the planned extension of State Route 24, the new complex will become a hub of energy and activity for local, regional, national, and global sports and entertainment events. Hats off to Legacy Sports USA and Legacy Cares for their persistence vision and creativity to make this a reality. Comments are closed.
