📢 We’re thrilled to introduce Lloyd’s new student design intern, Philip Zinnkann! Philip, a fourth-year student at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, is eager to deepen his knowledge of landscape architecture and gain hands-on experience with our firm. His passion, drive, and enthusiasm make him a fantastic addition to our internship program. Originally from San Francisco, CA, Philip loves spending time outdoors, being with friends and family, and exploring new places. 💬 Philip shares: "I’m incredibly excited for the opportunity to intern at Lloyd. During my interview, I saw how several of the firm’s projects—like Junipero Serra High School’s baseball field and the UC Berkeley campus—connect to my own childhood memories of sports. I hope to design spaces that create the same lasting impact for others." Join us in welcoming Philip to the team! 👏  Our sports engineers, Zach and Patrick, along with their partners, made the annual trip to Las Vegas' Allegiant Stadium 🎲🏟️ to kick off the 2025 National Rugby League (NRL) season from Australia! 🏉. The action-packed day opened with two English Super League sides putting on a show, before the Australian Jillaroos dominated in the women's international, running out big winners against England 🏆. There's nothing better than seeing a field we helped engineer come to life on the world stage 🌍—striped to perfection for rugby league, complete with the iconic yellow goal posts, paying homage to the NFL. The quality of the rugby matched the quality of the venue--world-class from start to finish 👏🔥. Congrats to all the winning teams 🏆 and here’s to another year of delivering elite sport on iconic stages! 🙌. Exciting news! The newly renovated Bloomington Little League Dream Field at Kessler Park in San Bernardino County is officially complete! 🎉⚾ Lloyd was honored to collaborate with San Bernardino County, Psomas, and P2S Inc. as the project's Sports Engineer, Landscape Architect and Irrigation Designer. Together, we: ✅ Transformed the field from natural grass to a synthetic turf system ✅ Upgraded home and visitor dugouts ✅ Installed a classic brick backstop ✅ Designed a spectator shade structure ✅ Los Angeles Dodgers inspired Scoreboard🧢 ✅ And, of course, introduced the iconic “Blue Monster”! Watching this Dream Field come to life has been an incredible journey. Can’t wait to see young athletes play on this field for years to come! ⚾✨ 🚀 It’s National Engineers Week! 🔧🏗️⚽ Our engineers make it happen—solving problems, crunching numbers, and keeping projects on track.
