We are pleased to announce that Brett Long, PLA has joined the Lloyd Civil & Sports Engineering team. Brett comes to Lloyd with more than 20 years of Landscape Architectural experience and a strong site design background specializing in sports, recreation, and wellness. He will be a welcome addition expanding Lloyd’s capabilities and expertise in community, educational, NCAA and professional sporting venues.
Brett brings landscape expertise from a broad range of climates including tropical zones such as Hawaii and the Caribbean Islands, temperate zones such as the San Francisco Bay Area, arid environs such as Reno and Las Vegas, to the mountianscapes of the Sierra Nevada range.
Notable clients include UC Santa Barbara, Ohlone Community College, MiraCosta College, Saratoga-Los Gatos Unified School District, the City of San Jose and Santa Clara Unified School District.
Brett is an alumnus of Cal Poly, Pomona earning a Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture and is currently licensed in California, Nevada and Hawaii.
His experiences as a former collegiate decathlete transfer well to understanding client training and competition needs for athletes of all ages and skill levels. He still enjoys many sports including running and mountain biking. When away from the Bay Area office, you might find him hiking the Sierras following his passion for native plants and advocating for sustainable practices.
