Cal's Memorial Stadium Renovation, Seismic Retrofit Project on Schedule

Six months from today, a renovated and seismically safe Memorial Stadium will open for football business when Cal hosts Nevada on Sept. 1, the culmination of a project spanning 21 months and costing $321 million.

The project is on pace for a state of football readiness on that date, meaning some details not relevant to the playing of a game might not be complete. In fact, finishing work will continue throughout the 2012 football season.
